A Thousand Stitches

A multimedia play premiered during the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2025

A haunting reimagining of Singapore during World War Two, A Thousand Stitches explores the transgenerational impact of war.

Drawing references from 1940s fashion, the kimono, and the military flight suit, the costumes were designed to be versatile enough to transport the performers between different eras and character roles.
